`!microReticulum`! is a C++ port of `F0af`_`[RNS`:/page/wiki.mu`path=RNS]`_`f that runs on 32-bit microcontrollers (e.g. ESP32, nRF52), as well as on native platforms with PlatformIO and CMake build support (for Linux and macOS systems).`:cite-ref-1[`F5bf`_`[1`#cite-note-1]`_`f]

microReticulum_Firmware is a fork of the official RNode_Firmware that integrates the microReticulum network stack, resulting in a fully self-contained standalone Reticulum `F0af`_`[node`:/page/wiki.mu`path=Node]`_`f without the need for a host `F0af`_`[instance`:/page/wiki.mu`path=Instance]`_`f, which is typically required for RNodes.`:cite-ref-0-2-0[`F5bf`_`[2`#cite-note-0-2]`_`f]
It can also produce a binary that can be run on a host machine, for example for running a self-contained `F0af`_`[transport node`:/page/wiki.mu`path=Transport_node]`_`f on constrained Linux SBCs.`:cite-ref-0-2-1[`F5bf`_`[2`#cite-note-0-2]`_`f]
